Generous Justice

In the ancient world the virtues of compassion and generosity were not considered ‘just’. And yet Christianity reimagined justice and established the royal law of love (as James puts it) as a new ‘norm’ upon which Western Society thrived. It arose out of a deep conviction of the sovereignty of God, that we are his image bearers, and that in Christ we have received undeserved redemptive grace.
