Paul’s sermon, recorded for us in Acts 13, reveals that the mission of our God is one of redemption. In this sermon we call upon Martin Luther’s famous treatise: The Freedom of a Christian. We learn that the Christian is a perfectly free lord of all, subject to none. And yet, simultaneously, the Christian is a dutiful servant of all, subject to all. In other words, Christ has set us free in order that we might use our freedom to serve the interests of God’s kingdom and other people.
